Lyme Regis May Day Fete 2013

Sunday May 5thAnning Road Recreation Ground

Once again this popular event in the Lyme Regis calendar will showcase local organisations who will have stalls all around an events arena. The Fete will be opened at 2.00 p.m. by the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Councillor Sally Holman, accompanied by the Mayoress Jane Whittington and all the proceeds will go to the organisations present. The young people’s organisations in Lyme will provide some stunning arena events. There will be Maypole Dancing from St Michael’s School, Gymnastics from Honiton Gymnastic Club, a Taekwondo demonstration and a display by the Lyme Regis Majorettes.

Teresa Evemy, Chairman of the Lyme Regis Regatta and Carnival Committee said, “We always look forward to this event because it organised by Lyme People for Lyme People. We look forward to seeing a big crowd of people as there is a great programme of arena entertainment by the young people of Lyme Regis. We are so lucky to have such talented youngsters who are prepared to support their town.”

There is still time for organisations to book a place for their stall at the May Fete. Contact Alan Vian 01297 442220.

Street Heat Samba Band at Lyme Regis Carnival 2012

Around 1100 people joined us as we paraded through Lyme Regis town, along the sea front and out on to The Cobb.

It was a beautiful still evening which provided the most amazing experience for everyone.

The parade included the energetic Samba Band Street Heat, who also played in the shelters afterwards.
